IDP Stakeholder Engagement

The Cape Winelands District Municipality (CWDM) invited stakeholders to attend the two Integrated Development Plan (IDP) Stakeholder Engagements held at the Worcester and Paarl.

Registered community organisations and NGO’s/NPO’s from areas across the district attended with the goal to discussed burning issues in their communities.

“Public participation is paramount in a democracy. The Cape Winelands District Municipality prides itself in having a participative style and values the importance of partnerships as we prepare for the 2022/2023 financial year.” Executive Mayor, Ald (Dr) Elna von Schlicht said when addressing the stakeholders.

Representatives brought many issues to the discussion, the most urgent themes being, youth
development, skills upliftment, ECD support and community safety.
